Lakewood had no answer for 23-year old left-handed pitcher A.J. Kamps. The Greensboro Grasshoppers starter stymied BlueClaws hitters, helping the Grasshoppers cruise to victory, 6-1. The loss makes the BlueClaws 6-13.

Greensboro used a well-timed hit by Phil Huffman to capture the win. The third baseman socked a 2-run double in the top of the third inning to put the Grasshoppers ahead, 2-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

Huffman called the win "what playing unselfish baseball looks like."
