Twins Earn 2-1 Win Against Orioles
|
In a close contest featuring the Minnesota Twins and the Baltimore Orioles, pitcher Gene Parker was in the zone. The Minnesota right-hander helped his team prevail, 2-1, in 11 innings. The win went to Mike D'Arcy in relief, making him now 3-1. Joel Bruner took the loss for Baltimore. The Orioles fall to 13-18 and continue their uneven start to the 2059 season.
The clutch at-bat came in the bottom of the 11th inning, when Minnesota third baseman Jared Henderson, facing Joel Bruner, had a run-scoring walk. It gave the Twins the 2-1 win.
"I tell our guys all the time, 'Every pitch is the right pitch if you put it in the right place, you believe in it and have conviction,'" Minnesota manager Jared Twins GM said.
