RiverDogs Rack Up 7-6 Win Versus West Virginia
The Charleston RiverDogs beat the West Virginia Power, 7-6. Charleston pitcher and West, Texas, native Steve Bassett led the way. The RiverDogs raised their record to 6-2.

Had Steve Martin not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Martin hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the RiverDogs.

"We've got a great group of guys," Martin said, "and we're having fun right now."
