Had Elijah Poulson not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 2nd, Poulson hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 2-1, in favor of the RockHounds.

"We needed two runs to win," said RockHounds manager , "and that's what we got."
