Sainz Thwarts Kelowna, 12-0

In a remarkable performance, Medicine Hat Hellfire starter EfraĆn Sainz beat the Kelowna Grizzlies, 12-0, in an impressive 6-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Hellfire hurler finished with 3 strikeouts and 5 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Kelowna manager Archie Hogan said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
To date this season, Sainz sports a 7-13 mark with a 4.28 ERA in 25 starting assignments. He has held the opposition to a .261 batting average and has 119 strikeouts in 216.2 innings.
