Saskatoon's Lemaire Wins PL Governor-General's Award (W&PL)

It was a very good year for Saskatoon Willows first baseman Dominique Lemaire, 1905's Plains League Governor-General's Award (W&PL).

Lemaire hit .282 with a .350 on-base percentage. He had 139 hits in 493 at-bats, including 5 doubles, 5 triples and 62 home runs. Lemaire drove in 124 runs and scored 101 times in his award-winning season.

He received 10 first place votes, as a unanimous winner. Dawson O'Toole of the Moose Jaw Rum Runners finished second in voting, while José Mendoza of the Steinbach Mennonites finished third.
