Plains League Chooses Best Manager Wednesday, November 23rd , 1904 An outstanding season by the Rum Runners garnered their manager Cosme Becerra the Plains League Manager of the Year award for 1904. He led Moose Jaw to a 79-53 record this year and a first place finish in the Plains League. Even so, Becerra seemed less than thrilled. "I don't give a darn about the award," he growled to reporters, "I just want this team to win championships!" |
