Sambrano OBA's Best of the Week Monday, September 18th , 1905 Celedonio Sambrano demonstrated his potential to be a star in the game last week and today he took home the Ontario Baseball Association Player of the Week Award. The Brampton left fielder wreaked havoc on opposing pitchers last week, pounding them for a .423 average (11-for-26) with 1 home run and 7 RBIs on his way to claiming the honor. To date Sambrano has chalked up a .276 average with 4 home runs, driven in 40 runs and scored 51 times. |
