May's Pitcher of the Month Goes to Quiñones

Trois-Rivieres starter Fulco Quiñones claimed the Ligue du Baseball du Quebec Pitcher of the Month Award today with his strong performance in May.

The 28-year-old starter tossed 55.1 innings of solid baseball, putting up a 1.79 ERA, 52 strikeouts and a 5-0 record in 6 starts.
Martínez Snags OBA Top Hurler Trophy

There's no doubt that Sleeping Giants starter Édgar Martínez earned his Ontario Baseball Association Pitcher of the Month award. He left absolutely no room for doubt as he mowed his way through the opposition in May.

During the month Martínez was 7-0 with a 1.95 ERA. He made 7 starts, tossed 74 innings and had 49 strikeouts.
Horswill Takes LBQ's Best Bat Award

To Bill Horswill, age is just a number.

He may be 35 years old, but the Thurso Bucherons first baseman proved in May that he's still got what it takes to compete at an elite level.

With a .333 average, 13 home runs, 25 RBIs, and 14 runs scored, Horswill had all the numbers that counted and has won the Ligue du Baseball du Quebec Batter of the Month award.
