Sherbrooke Shuts Out Bucherons, MacDermid Winner
Saturday, September 16th , 1905
All went well for Randy MacDermid of the Sherbrooke Privateers as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 3-0, over the Thurso Bucherons, limiting them to 5 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about MacDermid on the day.
"Randy's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Privateers manager Tom Richards. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
In the contest, the Sherbrooke right-hander rang up 5 and surrendered 3 walks.
"He didn't give us any second chances," said Bucherons manager Fernando Herrera. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
In 26 starts this season, MacDermid has compiled a 12-14 record and a 3.80 ERA.
