Sánchez Magic in 1-0 Shutout Saturday, September 16th , 1905 In an outstanding outing, Moncton Magnets starter Santiago Sánchez tamed the Halifax Batteries with a 5-hit shutout at Batteries Field. The Moncton hurler went the distance, finishing with 3 strikeouts and 2 walks in the 1-0 win. "He had a lot of first-pitch strikes and kept us off balance with a lot of off-speed stuff," according to Halifax manager John Hatfield. "We just didn't get too many balls squared up today."
