Moffat Voted July's Rookie Trophy Wednesday, August 1st , 1906 July's #1 rookie was pitcher Brandon Moffat of Chetumal. He muzzled Sur hitters and held them in check all month long to capture the Rookie of the Month award. For the month of July the 20-year-old Moffat recorded a 6-2 won-lost mark with a 0.90 ERA and 20 strikeouts in 70.1 innings. So far this year, Moffat has made 16 starts, tossed 128.2 innings, struck out 40 batters and walked 32. His record is 9-6 with a 1.61 ERA and he has limited opposing teams to a .218 batting average. |
