Keay Shuts Out Veracruz
Wednesday, October 7th , 1903
"That was one of my best outings," said Roodan Keay. "I was worried a lot in the bullpen. My ball wasn't quite right. Luckily, it can be two different worlds -- the bullpen and the game. Once I stepped on the field, it all fell into place."
It was an impressive start for the Mayas hurler. He blanked the Vigias, 1-0, on a strong 5-hitter while ringing up 3 strikeouts and doling out 1 walk.
This season, Keay has compiled a 24-9 mark with a 1.43 ERA in 30 starts.
