Fraire Crafts 9-0 Shutout Sunday, September 16th , 1906 Normando Fraire was throwing strikes early and getting ahead in the count, his manager said after the Bayamo Rafagas hurler tossed a 4-hit, complete game shutout against the Camaguey Tinajones. "I went right after each hitter, trying to get ahead in the count," said Fraire. "I wanted them to swing the bats and keep my pitch count down. It worked. I felt strong the whole game, even in the last two innings." Fraire walked 3 and struck out 11 in the 9-0 victory. His record for the year is 13-4 in 19 starts and Fraire has a 1.24 ERA.
