Browns Get Zip in 4-0 Loss to Wade
Thursday, August 2nd , 1906
Ryan Wade was in a zone of his own most of the day, shutting out the St. Louis Browns on 7 hits.
"He was too darn good for us today," grumbled St. Louis manager Jim Dee after the 4-0 loss to the Cleveland Spiders.
Wade finished with 1 strikeout and 2 walks in a strong outing.
In the postgame press conference, Cleveland manager Russ McKelvy said Wade "had good velocity, good movement and had those guys off balance. He just pitched his butt off."
