Great Month for CL Rookie Tuesday, September 1st , 1903 Pitcher Jesse Stovall of the Cleveland Spiders was the most productive rookie in the Central League last month and today the league named him the Rookie of the Month award winner. In August his record was 5-1 with a 2.19 ERA and 10 strikeouts in 53.1 innings. This season, Stovall has compiled a 12-6 mark with a 1.90 ERA in 18 starts. |
