August's Top Starter Named in CL Tuesday, September 1st , 1903 Cincinnati starter George Mullin claimed the Central League Pitcher of the Month Award today with his strong performance in August. The 23-year-old starter tossed 63 innings of solid baseball, putting up a 1.14 ERA, 26 strikeouts and a 6-1 record in 7 starts. To this point in the season Mullin has 11 wins and 8 losses and a 2.40 ERA. |
