Scouts Swap Treadway to Brewers for Currie
Saturday, September 26th , 1903
Proving the old adage that one man's trash is another man's treasure, the Scouts announced today the acquisition of 28-year old LHP Frank Killen and 24-year old RHP Clarence Currie from the Milwaukee Brewers in exchange for 33-year old LF Aaron Treadway and 22-year old RHP Cy Falkenberg. "This isn't the deal of the century," acknowledged the Scouts, "but we think it will improve the direction of both teams."

Lifetime Treadway has played in 362 games, batted .293 with 8 home runs and 355 base hits.

Currie has compiled a lifetime ERA of 2.28 with 10 career victories and 16 defeats. He has 54 career strikeouts in 201.1 innings and has held opponents to a .256 batting average.
