Currie Deals Browns 1-0 Shutout Friday, August 14th , 1903 Milwaukee Brewers pitcher Clarence Currie blanked the St. Louis Browns, 1-0, at Athletic Field, tossing a 2-hitter while issuing 1 walk and collecting 4 strikeouts. After his sharp shutout performance, he shared credit with the rest of the club. "I was just locked in out there and some of that is due to having a catcher who has such a great feel for hitters," Currie said. "I couldn't do what I did without all the guys out there today."
