Pickering Stopped, 3-1, by Hamilton
|
In a tight tilt between the Hamilton Hammers and the Pickering Bonebreakers, Emérico Rubio was the deciding factor. The Hamilton left-hander spearheaded the 3-1 win. The Hammers, with just their 3rd win in 16 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
The Hammers had to work out of trouble in the top of the ninth. The score was 3-1, Hamilton, with one out. Pickering, with a runner on 1st, was mounting a threat. Rhys Nord dug in at the plate, but on a 0-1 curveball, he hit into a double play.
