Blair Stinson led the charge as the Thunder Bay Sleeping Giants defeated the Sudbury Meteors, 15-13, in 10 innings at Sudbury Grounds. Stinson slugged 3 home runs. He scored 4 times and drove in 7. Reliever José Arredondo picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Julián Villanueva took the loss. The loss drops Sudbury to 1-1.

The game was all tied up in the top of the tenth, until Stinson delivered big-time for Thunder Bay, stroking a dramatic run-scoring single off Julián Villanueva. The game-changing hit put the Sleeping Giants on top, 14-13.

"It took some doing, but we got what we came for," said Sleeping Giants manager Ignacio López.
