La Salchichera was the site for Sur action featuring the Merida Trovadores and Toluca Chorizos.

The Toluca Chorizos topped the Merida Trovadores, 7-3, in Sur action at La Salchichera. The game was highlighted by the performance of Toluca pitcher Raimundo Magaña. Magaña got the win, improving to 13-17. He gave up 9 hits and walked 1 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs.

Mayagüez, Puerto Rico-born Nemesio Amador came through in the clutch. In the bottom of the seventh, with the bases loaded and the Chorizos trailing 3-2, he hit a 2-run single to center to put Toluca on top.

Amador told a Toluca Bulletin reporter that he was "very happy" with the win.

At 73-57, the Chorizos are currently 4th in the Sur.
