Corsarios Blanked by Keay
|
Chetumal Mayas starter Roodan Keay really did a number on the Campeche Corsarios, shutting them out, 5-0, on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 2 walks and had 5 strikeouts.
"We didn't have good at-bats," said Campeche manager Gerardo Martín. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Keay."
In 29 starts this season, Keay has chalked up a 8-17 record and a 3.09 ERA.
