José Piñeda was impressive at Campo de Oaxaca in the 5-0 Michoacan Calaveras victory over the Oaxaca Zapotecos. The Michoacan pitcher mystified the Zapotecos in a strong performance, giving up 4 hits and totaling 1 walk and 2 strikeouts.

"José had them chasing a lot of pitches and talking to themselves," Michoacan manager Pablo Sánchez. "It was something special to watch."
