Trovadores Get 8-3 Win Versus Chiapas
|
Spirited fans greeted the Chiapas Quetzales for their clash with the Merida Trovadores.
Merida starter Jorge Castro pitched well against the Chiapas Quetzales at Parque de los Quetzales. The left-hander led his team to a win, 8-3. Castro got the win, improving to 4-5. He gave up 10 hits and walked 0 over 9 innings. He allowed 3 runs.
Getulio Pérez, the Merida right fielder, contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to make the score 5-0, Trovadores. For the game, Pérez went 2-4 with 2 singles. He drove in 3 runs and scored once.
