The Washington Senators and starting pitcher Joe Corbett stifled the Boston offense en route to a comfortable 8-1 win at Boundary Field. Washington is now 33-36. Boston is 22-47.

Billy Lush hit a 2-run double off Ed Knouff in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Senators in front, 3-1. In addition to the double, Lush had 2 singles, while going 3 for 4.

"The effort wasn't good enough," said losing manager Ian King.
