Senators Stick Reds with 5-2 Loss
|
Washington picked up a win at League Park II 1894-1901, bumping off the Cincinnati Reds, 5-2. Pitcher Charlie Geggus was a major reason the Senators emerged victorious. The Senators now own a record of 65-72.
In the top of the second, Shorty Fuller delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 2nd, the Washington shortstop hit a run-scoring single, putting the Senators in front, 5-2.
"I take a professional approach to my job," said Geggus. "I've been around this game for a while."
