McGraw Lifts Orioles to 14-9 Win
The Baltimore Orioles outscored the Boston Beaneaters, 14-9. Among the hitting stars was shortstop John McGraw. McGraw, who led the EL in stolen bases with 54 in 1904, was 2-3 with a double and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3. Abner Powell claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 3 runs on 9 hits in 5 innings. His record stands at 4-7. The Orioles raised their record to 21-36.

Bill Keister's at-bat in the bottom of the sixth inning was a big one for Baltimore. Coming to bat with one out, a runner on 3rd and Baltimore trailing 8-7, the third baseman hit a run-scoring single.

"It was one of those games where both teams were swinging the bat well," Keister said.
