Ríos Blasts Leones, Soneros Take Game 6, 6-4
The Santiago de Cuba Soneros and the Habana Leones will take the Campeonato Nacional de Cuba to a decisive 7th game. Facing a must-win situation at Parque de los Leones, the Soneros beat the Leones, 6-4, in extra innings to force the series into what will essentially be a one-game playoff. Santiago de Cuba right fielder Luis Ríos was 3-4 with 2 home runs and 2 walks, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice.

Faustino Lecea drew 2 walks against the Leones. With the game tied in the top of the 11th inning, he hit a sacrifice fly that put Santiago de Cuba in front, 5-4.

"There's nothing like the postseason," said Ríos, "to ramp up the pressure."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Parque de los Leones in Havana.
