Santiago de Cuba Advances to Campeonato de las Ligas
All playoffs end with joy on one side and despair on the other. Today, the Santiago de Cuba Soneros are the ones feeling overwhelmed with excitement, and the Trinidad Tabacaleros are the ones thinking about what they could have done differently.

The Soneros took a 3-1 victory at Terreno de Soneros today, which gave Santiago de Cuba a 3-1 series win.

With the win, Santiago de Cuba will advance to play in the Campeonato de las Ligas.

"We aren't ready to go home yet," said Soneros starting pitcher Hernán Martínez, who was named series MVP.

The Santiago de Cuba Soneros will play against the Holguin Pericos in the next round. Holguin won their series against the Bayamo Rafagas 3 games to 1. The Campeonato de las Ligas schedule will be announced after the Campeonato Interdivisional finishes.
