Scouts Suffer 6-3 Home Defeat
The St. Louis Browns defeated the Kansas City Scouts by the score of 6-3, with the biggest share of the credit going to third baseman John Knight. Knight was 2 for 4 with a triple. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Browns on the day. Charlie Bartson was the winner. He's now 7-14. The loser was Jack Taylor. The Browns saw their win-loss record go to 56-74. At the same time, the Scouts fell to 46-84.

Early in the game, Knight had a 2-run triple for St. Louis. It was his 7th triple of the season and put the Browns on top, 2-0.

"I'm proud of the way we took care of business and got the 'W' today," Knight told the St. Louis Daily. "Whatever it takes."
