Veach Pitches 3-0 Shutout for Boston
|
Peek-A-Boo Veach was in a mood to talk following the Boston Beaneaters contest against the New York Giants, expounding to BNN reporters on his pitching philosophy. He had good reason to be excitable, having tossed a complete game shutout of the Giants, 3-0.
"There are three important elements in pitching success: location, location, and location," Veach said. "I was hitting my spots time and time again."
The right-hander blanked New York on a 5-hitter, allowing no walks and racking up 5 strikeouts.
This year, Veach has registered 12 wins and 16 losses in 29 starts with a 3.00 ERA while registering 88 strikeouts and 48 walks in 243.1 innings.
