Huber Twirls 3-0 Shutout for Spiders
It wasn't easy but the Cleveland Spiders made it look that way.

Starter Justin Huber shut out the Kansas City Scouts despite having what he later called "sub-par" stuff, and the Cleveland Spiders cruised to victory, 3-0. Huber allowed only 3 hits and rang up 8 strikeouts but insisted later that he did not deserve primary credit for the win.

"It didn't feel quite right today, but I got a lot of help to get through," he said. "I trusted my catcher and the guys behind me bailed me out more than once when I screwed up."

This year, Huber has fashioned a 16-12 mark, 3.08 ERA and pitched 242.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .238 against him and he has logged 168 strikeouts.
