New York pitcher Jack Sharrott had a large part in his team beating the Baltimore Orioles, 4-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. The Giants raised their record to 32-43.

With the game tied, 3-3, in the bottom of the seventh, Sharrott had a key at-bat for New York. With runners on 1st and 3rd, Sharrott hit a run-scoring single off Mike O'Rourke, making the score 4-3, Giants.

"When you are able to locate the ball, good things are going to happen," said Sharrott.
