Phillies Beat Washington, 5-4
The Philadelphia Phillies picked up a win at Boundary Field, knocking off the Washington Senators, 5-4. Starting pitcher Hardie Henderson was a big reason why. The first-place Phillies have won 7 straight games.

Philadelphia relied on the hitting of Tuck Turner to pick up the win. The center fielder ripped a run-scoring single in the top of the 12th inning to put the Phillies on top, 5-4. For the game, Turner had 1 triple and 1 single in 6 at-bats.

"I'm glad we can make our fans happy with a win," Turner told the Philadelphia Daily News.
