Weyhing Goes Distance in Pittsburgh Win
The Pittsburgh Pirates eked out a 2-1 win versus the Washington Senators at Exposition Park 1891-1908. Nobody did more than pitcher John Weyhing. He was terrific. With the victory, the Pirates upped their record to 45-26.

Weyhing threw well for Pittsburgh, thwarting the Washington offense. The left-hander tossed 117 pitches over 9 innings. He allowed just 1 run on 4 hits.

"We've got a great group of guys," Weyhing said, "and we're having fun right now."
