Spiders Snatch Late-Game, 2-1 Win
|
Ryan Wade pitched a gem to lead Cleveland to victory over the Chicago Orphans, 2-1. The Spiders now own a record of 30-23.
The Spiders got a clutch hit from pinch hitter Jesse Swain. In the bottom of the tenth, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Spiders.
"This place was jumping at the end," Wade said.
