Senators Lose as Orioles Stage Late Rally
|
Baltimore Orioles starter Pete Conway pitched well against the Washington Senators at Union Park, leading his team to a win, 6-3. Conway picked up the win for Baltimore, going 8 innings. He gave up 3 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 3-2. The Orioles raised their record to 14-25.
An inflection point occurred with one out in the bottom of the eighth. That's when Orioles pinch hitter Jack Boyle hit a curveball from Ed Seward for a 2-run single. Just like that, Baltimore was up, 4-3.
"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Orioles manager Pete Fries.
