Henequeneros Scratch Out 2-1 Win

The Matanzas Henequeneros picked up a win at Campo de Matanzas, dropping the Habana Leones, 2-1. Baltasar Martínez, who is tied for 6th in the TOCC in innings pitched with 245.2, was the difference-maker. Martínez, the winner, moves to 12-15. He threw 9 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 1 and giving up 2 walks. Matanzas occupies third place in the Torneo Occidental Matanzas at 49-63.
Making an impact for the home team was Jorge Sánchez. In the bottom of the first, the 28-year old left fielder had a run-scoring ground out. That made the score 2-0, Henequeneros.
