Brandon got a terrific game from center fielder Tito Torres. It wasn't enough, though, to prevent the team from falling to Steinbach, 5-4. Torres was 3 for 4 with a triple and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Steinbach, at 73-54, is 3 games up in the Plains League.

Steinbach took control in the top of the sixth. With two out and a runner on 3rd, Francisco Galan hit a run-scoring single to make it 4-3, Mennonites.

"Both teams played hard," said Steinbach manager Julio Piceño.
