Ángel Rivera of the Moose Jaw Rum Runners proved the point at Rum Runners Park, holding the Winnipeg Strikers to 5 hits in a complete game shutout victory.

"Rivera made us look real bad today," Strikers manager Calixto Sosa said in a postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."

Rivera had 5 strikeouts and gave up 3 walks as the Rum Runners took the 5-0 win.
