The Steinbach Mennonites handed the Brandon Threshers a sound defeat, 12-2, at Steinbach Grounds. Tomás Martínez was a main contributor to the win. He was 3 for 5 with a triple and a double, while scoring 2 times and driving in 5 for Steinbach. Steinbach is now 62-42.

In the bottom of the first, Martínez had one of his most important at-bats: a 2-run single off Jayden Trueman that staked the Mennonites to a 2-0 lead.

Brandon manager John Batchelor called the blowout loss "undesirable."
