Trifluviens Earn Clutch Win, 6-5
The Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens besoiled an otherwise fine performance by Halifax designated hitter Bill MacPherson by beating the Batteries, 6-5, at Ballpark of Trois-Rivieres. MacPherson went 2 for 3 with 2 home runs, a walk, and was hit by a pitch. He drove in 4 runs and scored twice. The winning pitcher was 34-year old left-handed pitcher Dominic Simmons. He tossed 126 pitches over 9 innings, allowing 5 runs on 9 hits. The victory gives Trois-Rivieres a record of 67-65.

Pablo Viguería was the walk-off hero for Trois-Rivieres. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Trifluviens right fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We'll kick back tonight, then get set for the next one," Viguería said.
