Chargers Deal Gas 6-1 Loss

The Calgary Chargers picked up a win at Gas Field, downing the Vancouver Gas, 6-1. On the mound for Calgary was right-hander Goliat Portillo, who played a pivotal role in the win. Portillo yielded 1 run over 9 innings to notch the win. He scattered 6 hits, walked 2, and struck out 2. His record improves to 5-3. The victory gives Calgary a record of 35-29.
With two out in the top of the seventh, Ricardo Aguilar had a game-changing hit. The Chargers third baseman slammed a 2-run single off Mateo Martínez, making the score 5-1, Calgary.
