The Quebec City Dons converted a terrific effort from starter Lorenzo Álvarez into a win over the Halifax Batteries at Dons Field. The Dons won the game by a final score of 3-2. The setback makes Halifax 67-59.

With scoring opportunities rare, the Dons had to cash in when they had the chance. One such opportunity presented itself in the bottom of the fifth, when second baseman Juan Vargas hit a run-scoring single. The single came off Teócrito Salinas and made the score 3-1, Dons. Vargas was 3-4 with a double and 2 singles.

"I'm proud to wear a Quebec City jersey," Vargas told the Quebec City Today. "We played a good game and came out with the win. What more can you ask for?"
