Morales Shines in 11-4 Levis Win
Fourches first baseman José Morales left his mark on his team's 11-4 win over the Halifax Batteries. Morales, who is tied for 4th in the LBQ in extra base hits with 48, was 3-3 with a triple, 2 doubles, and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3 for Levis in the contest. The winner was Pedro Sánchez, who threw 144 pitches over 9 innings. The right-hander was charged with 4 runs on 11 hits. The second-place Fourches go to 61-44.

With Levis leading 2-0 in the bottom of the second, Morales hit a changeup from Ángel Ortega for a 2-run double. It was his 36th double of the season and put the Fourches ahead, 4-0.

"The credit goes to our offense," said Levis manager Stephen Glover.
