Ruiz Shuts Out Halifax
Faro Ruiz of the Trois-Rivieres Trifluviens blanked the Halifax Batteries, 8-0, in a complete-game win, limiting them to 5 hits while chalking up 5 strikeouts and giving up 2 walks.

"He's got the makeup. He's not afraid to challenge guys," Trois-Rivieres manager Hiram Esquivel said to BNN reporters after the game. "Faro is poised out there. He knows how to pitch and how to use his stuff."
