Fans were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Levis Fourches take on the Halifax Batteries.

The Halifax Batteries got a stellar performance from pitcher José Aguirre, who handcuffed the Levis offense en route to a win, 7-1, at Fourches Park. In 9 innings, Aguirre surrendered 7 hits, while striking out 2 and walking 1. He allowed 1 run.

Halifax used the hitting of Bill MacPherson to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the first inning to put the Batteries on top, 2-0. For the game, MacPherson had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
