Pickering Tumbles Again, Falls, 4-3, to Brampton
|
The Florists grabbed a win, 4-3, at Bonebreakers Park, overcoming a fine effort from Pickering pitcher Greg McIlmoyle. McIlmoyle went 9 innings and allowed 4 runs. The winning pitcher was Jorge Rivera. He's now 5-6. He went 7.2 innings, allowing 3 runs on 11 hits for the Florists. This loss makes it 8 in a row for Pickering.
Cory Peddle, who is tied for 6th in the OBA in home runs with 11, had a direct impact on the outcome. Peddle contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Brampton up, 4-2.
"It was a solid team effort," Peddle said. "That's usually what it takes to win."
