Wheelwrights Rally Late to Clip Hamilton
The home squad pulled out a thrilling walk-off win.

The Markham Wheelwrights topped the Hamilton Hammers, 4-3, in Ontario Baseball Association action at Markham Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Markham pitcher Ulises Nájera. Nájera went the distance for Markham. He gave up 3 runs on 5 hits.

Epifanio Ricardo was the walk-off hero for Markham. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Wheelwrights pinch hitter hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Lewis Smith.

Markham's record now stands at 15-33, placing them last in the Ontario Baseball Association Ontario South.
